Found this halfpenny today and it looks like 1806 to me. Anyhow it's a small portrait in the circle with a English Rose inside it.

Any ideas please as cannot find it anywhere online.

Could it be a token ? Check events for 1806 could mark
nelsons funeral or other event. ?

I believe this is a standard George III 1806 halfpenny that has been overstamped with the circle and rose.

Cheers Doc. Very well stamped I have to say as it's perfectly central, unlike a lot of other stamped coins I've seen where there off centre or just randomly stamped.

I have to say the main reason I didn't think it was stamped was because the whole circular area is raised perfectly and is thicker than the rest of the coin.
