Looking at getting a pinpointing probe. I had a garret one a few years ago. I'm just wondering what's the best one to buy?

Xpointer from detectorbits at £69.95 is good value for money and works well..

The latest Garrett Pro-Pointer AT if affordable is the way to go.

I have both and thats my experience.

Best of luck in your final choice. Wink  Jerry.

Xpointer are in the process of releasing an all terrain and a true underwater probe which should be available in the summer so it could be worth waiting Wink

Hi Steve,re pinpointers,I made a mistake buying an X-pointer,the problem is that at the time I owned a Safari and the pinpointer reacted every time they got near to each other(when both switched on)trying to pinpoint when the detector was nearby was a complete nightmare!!
In the end I sold it and bought a Garrett pro-pointer, no problems there whatsoever, you didn't say what detector you use,be careful it cost me a few job to change !!!

My old machine was a safari and I wished I'd bought an etrac,  so I went all out and got the ctx 3030, should be here tomorrow  Grin. I ended up buying the minelab probe In the end , according to the right up it shouldn't mess with the machine. I hope not any how!

Garrett probe
Mine does chatter now and again but better than pinpointing with etrac digging then searching with etrac lol horses for courses I think...
If it works for you stick to it?
