Hard case.

Zerocool69:

Hi all,
Apologies if this question has been asked before, but has anyone found a good hard case for the Nox 800?
I have been looking on the usual sites, but everything is silly money, just wondered if anyone has anyone suggestions?

Thanks.

Val Beechey:
No, haven’t heard of anyone buying a hard case, only canvas ones.

BUT  my hubby flys model aircraft and a couple of helicopters. Last copter he bought he wAnted a hard case for but refused to pay the high price of the official one.
After browsing around the Model suppliers he found one, just the case, no interior, for a fraction of the price.
Worth having a look around, just check out a few suppliers.

Hi all,

As an update to my first question, I have now sourced a Nuprol Large hard case designed for rifles and guns. The detector coil will fit with the shaft attached and then there is still plenty of room for extras such as the headphones, pointer etc.
The case has Pluck and Pick foam, so can be shaped to accommodate the coil and wireless modules etc. Free postage, and for just £70.00.
Just a heads up for anyone else looking to protect their kit.

My brother in law keeps his in a hard camo bow case. Plenty of room and safe I think he paid a tenner for it used sorry yep just read above comment. Defo sounds the same as brother in laws

Val Beechey:
Glad you got fixed up Zero. Each to his own. Some like to pack everything away, some don’t even clean their coil never mind all the rest.
I don’t have a case for mine. I’m lucky that my detector fit snuggly in the boot of the car to get there and back. Strait into the kitchen, a quick rub down, good as new.
Have you thought about a bungee suspension to attach from waist to detector.I’ve got one and my machine never touches the ground. Makes a heck of a difference.
Every machine I’ve sold has been as good as it came out of the box.
Best of luck, hope you find something nice 👍
