I have just watched the Iraq memorial service of all the soldiers who lost their lives in the war and was very moved by it.I would like to express our sympathy to all the familys who lost their loved ones in a job that was done regardless of the loss of their own lives they are all heros!God bless them all.

When I watch television and see those so called anti war / peace protesters come do gooders trying to sway public  opinion which I and all of us want to hope they never do don,nt they realise this democratic goverment and our armed forces are involved in a battle for our freedom against a terrorist enemy who does,nt  respect any human values they kill and maim women children etc these people are fuelled by an ideology bent on eradication of all people who don,nt believe in thier Ideals so I say tp any pascifists out stop being so bloody ignorant to the truth our troops are the salt of the earth were would we be without them their all heros in my eyes including the GURKKAS WISE UP PEOPLE  Huh MOLE

here here Mole, where would we be now without them,  we'd all have blonde hair and speaking German,
And what the govenment is doing to the Gurkers,  well,  they don't  deserve to be in govenment , bringing shame and lack of appreiciation on our country like that,  what will future  Gurkers think, sod you mate, fight your own battles,  and who can blame them

I agree with all of the above, it must be really hard too for the families that have relatives over there and hoping that they survive!

why Is it that the American armed forces have trouble finishing a war ? Vietnam springs to mind. they had 2 go,s at  Iraq and still cant finish it.

Its a pity that the British armed forces have been linked to this farce.
If we had full control, our brave lads whould have finished it properly.

Im just glad were pulling out before we get dragged deeper into a conflict that will never end !

as  for the Gurkers .......shame on the government !

They do a fantastic job. Totally selfless. Considering how much danger they are in it makes you wonder are they paid enough. Compare what they do to the selfish money grabbing politicians that send them out to these places. It really makes me think what a screwed up world we live in.

For the risks they take their wages are terrible and are far from satisfactory.
I considered joining up in my youth, but glad i did'nt go through with it.
