But in the afternoon I managed to get my coin count up to 10 and a few bits and bobs so well pleased and had a great day with good friends.
What Taff has failed to tell you is, after we had tramped miles and I do mean miles (OK on my recommendation...whoops) we ended up back in the field where we had parked and he found the hammi about 10 feet from the back of his car. Next time I'm going to just detect around the cars, find the hammi's then sit in the car and listen to the radio for the rest of the day.
