Totally new to this I've not got a metal detector as yet. Did not want to go and perchase one totally blind. Can someone advise me what type/ make of detector is best for me as a starter. Not too cheap but not too expensive if possible. Also are there any magazines on this interesting pastime/ hobby. I live in the Flintshire area and was on a localish beach the other day, saw some people using detectors and would love to give it a go. I would also like to try other areas than the beach.
