Some great coins coming out today,cheers mark,had a few silvers,had a silver spoon silver coin badly worn and a hammy not sure what it is and a really nice silver box I think,3 cartwheels and the usual bits and bobs,and a few nice buttons which gave me hope of gold lol.

Cracking finds lads, glad you had a good day. I had my gear out ready to come and work phoned and spoiled my plans, never mind.

                    Looks like you chaps had a good day's detecting. Sory to hear that you lost your ProPointer; I did that at Talacre sands once but managed to recover it the next day, after the tide had been in and out again. Fortunately I had dropped the pointer above the high tide line for that night, but I did spend several hours hunting a spooky beach in the dark; all on me own.

                    By now, I hope that you have recovered your valuable bit o' kit and you are considering fitting a lanyard to it! I fitted a lanyard and have never lost my ProPointer since.

Found this yesterday, I wasn't going to post a pic of it, however I have had it identified today as a 13th to 15th century lead button.
You cannot see it so well in the pictures but it has a cross and a pellet design on the front, so thought it worthy of a piccie.  ;)

Some very nice finds there, i especially like the Charles hammy, didnt find much my self though, a few coins, loads of buttons and a couple of bits of lead.

2 coins for me. A 1780 penny and a YH Viccy halfpenny. Buttons and lead. Oh, and shotgun caps.

great day out....13 buttons, most 17th century, a complete 18/19th century brass beer barrel tap (which will clean up well) and enough shotgun cartridge tops to fill a bucket...and right at the end, an 18th century lead bag seal.....again lovely to see old silver hammered coins popping up,.

wonder how many pints of ale flowed through this old tap.....apparently these are collectable and worth a few quid???

A fair few pints if ale I'm sure  :P :P
