Plus the £21 for the original backphones, so £63 :-\

£42 and thats because i got some one to make them

If i was not so lazy and done them myself cost would havee been £12

Yes the original back phones were used so if I decide to buy a replacement set at £21 they indeed come to £63 or if i made them myself £33

To be honest I do not think I will ever go back to the Deus back phones, there rubbish compared to what I have now.

Well I have just even given a Deus as my birthday pressi and I didn't like the headphones!   Really strange, felt like they would fall off at the slightest breeze !

Only had it today, so wearing them in the house is a bit on the strange side. Lol. Hope I get used to them, but thinking about it, I only use headphones on rallies, so maybe they won't be so bad.

I'm glad that you've put those headphones up though so at least I know that I can buy some at a reasonable rate.

Take care

H

Which ever headphones you decide on, wear them! It will make a vast difference on iron tones and those faint iffy signals. Good luck with the Deus, it's a  cracking machine.

They're not headphones - they're backphones!

I know this sounds stupid, but you did put them on properly?  ;D ;D

(Heather, they go around the back of your head and not over the top!!!!)  ;)

Lots of people make that mistake Bob

As bob has said they go around the back of your head and clip over your ears

Lol now I know I do a lot of things that make me and others think .. Ummmm ...  But no, I put them on over my ears and the plastic at the back of my head....  They are so light and flimsy - got to get used to them I suppose

Was going out today but hubby surprised me with a romantic night at the grove in narbeth - have to get ready!  Yes it takes hours to get ready lol.

I'm spoilt.

Surely it doesn't take that long to mix up  a dish of Polyfilla?  ;D

I still think he's been up to something and has a guilty conscience, thus all the romance!  ;)

Lol !  God I wish I could use poly filler !

Went out today without headphones - what an amazing machine - regularly digging over 8 inches on land that I've been to lots.  Found my first silver of the year wow I just love the Deus.  Really impressed me, I wasnt expecting it to be that good.  I must have had over 1000 digs totally shattered now !   Ok slightly exaggerating

Really happy :)   I was dreading that I wouldn't get on with it

Iam in my 3rd year plus with the Deus.
At the time I took a lot of flack from many quarters but how times have changed.
At 78+ the Deus has given my detecting a new lease of life.
The new W5 headsets are expensive but still a class product with pure sound and better than the backphones IMHO.
The converted headsets serve as a cheap alternative which I have used for the last couple of years but its worth saving up for the W5's if possible.Jerry.  ;)

Whether the WS5 are as good as the CP6 regarding sound is yet to be seen. Beating the backphones is not difficult as they are an off the shelf headset with 65p speakers in them.
I hope for XP's sake that they have tested the speakers this time to get better tones, it took me enough test unit's to find the right ones.

I think it's best to use 1 headphone or back phone and get used to the sound. Changing from one to the other may put your 'ear out' of sync with the sounds you are used too.

I suppose I've got used to the back phones now.

I do wish they'd turn off when you switch the controller off!

Very true Bob and equally so for all machines. If you have a new detector then don't be tempted to stint on the headphones until a later date, as to a certain extent you will be relearning all over again ;)
