I went out today for a couple of hours, [ only the second time this year ] I found  a nice little pocket drop of 3 little silvers and a few coppers, then out popped  a trade weight, but the piece de resistance was an 18ct knot ring 4.6 g. I suppose the strangest thing that I found was a penny with a 1/2d red stamp stuck to the back of it. How the stamp survived in the ground this long is a mystery
                                                          So that's two nice bits of gold on the first two outings of the year, can't wait to go out again

Fantastic stuff - amazed the stamp survived, but that ring is one of the nicest found recently - someone must have really been sad losing it.
