i can say that etracs are awsome .if you dont believe me check my posts,troutmasterfunk and joel can can verify how good these machines are.
 if it was not for my etrac i would have lost my house when i was laid off work.

its not the machine guys its fantastic , its just giving my forearm and elbow lots of pain after just a few hours , the xs was the same the last few months so its got to go , im looking at a hip mounted sov or a Deus or much lighter machine

Ever tried  the t2 mike nice and lite also ysbytymike is selling a t2 that's almost new and he is looking for an etrack.  ;)

The Safari is good but you can't alter the number of tones like you can with the E Trac.

The Safari is full orchestra or nothing!  ;D

how good is your mood? straight swap for my sovereign?

actually there is a gt on ebay now straight shaft a couple of coils buy it now 600.

Really!!! Never realised that.

I've reduced my swing/shaft length so that I detect closer to my feet and its helped tremendously
in coping with the weight problem I was having, due to my shoulder injury. The weight is more in line with my forearm now.

Yes only by an ounce or so. The only problem with detecting near your feet is that you have to make sure that you have metal free footwear especially if you slap a larger coil on it.
Al (Deadlock) and I were discussing the balance the other day and as you say the angle is all wrong, if you could bend the battery housing forward at the hand grip junction, your hand would grasp the handle naturally as it is your wrist is cocked downwards putting a strain on your forearm which in turn transfers to your shoulder. I would say to anyone though that is finding it a strain, make sure the arm cup is as high up as you can get it ;)
