Is it just me or does anyone else havie a problem with the coil cover on a Deus constantly falling off. I do a lot of detecting in woodland  with a lot of underlying bracken It's got to the stage where I have to keep checking to make sure that I haven't lost it. I've never had this problem with any other detector. Is there any way of securing it without causing any interferance?

Hi Dylan.   I had that problem with the Nell Sharpshooter and I wrapped a bit of black electrical tape around it in 4 places.
Holds it secure, doesn't interfere with signal and is fairly easy to get off for cleaning.

As mark says two cable ties or a piece of double sided tape on the bottom of the coil should hold it on Wink

I have heard tell that some beach detectorists put silicon sealant between the coil and the cover to stop the ingress of water and sand. Perhaps this would also help your cover to stay on?
