Very true BM as I've said many times before you can go into a supermarket and buy a mobile phone for £50 that's hundreds of times more advanced and powerful technologically than any metal detector Wink

The cheapest Deus in the detecting mags at the mo is Pepsi Piros Metal Detectors http://www.metaldetectors-pepsi.co.uk/epages/BT3264.sf/en_GB/?ObjectPath=/Shops/BT3264/Products/11108 not a bad price with the 11 inch coil

Hmm, I believe in the early days of metal detecting some detectorists used transistor radios as part of their detector's construction. You don't suppose that we could persuade our mobile phones to function as metal detectors, do you? With some modification, of course!  Wink
