Post by: dingdong on August 30, 2015, 05:17:10 PM Hi Beach Hunter 10,very difficult to actually date what is surely a stone bead by the look of it,these type of beads are normally from JET and are possibly from the early BRONZE AGE,very,very nice eyes only find,lucky old you,well found.👍

Do you think I should donate it to a museum? :) neolithic artefacts are displayed in a local museum close by to where the bead was found it was just lying on top of the mud.

The fascination never dies. I've had a thing for unusual stones, fossils and bits of pottery since I was a nipper. Here's some I've got 'On Display' in a glass bowl. Always had the intention of turning some into jewellery but never did. |
