Bad here in Dorset. Was snowing and settled when I had got up at 4.45am. Been snowing heavily ever since. I have a 2 mile drive up a C road to get to a main road to work. No grit so no work. Now chilling and catching up on recording my finds. Hope all DW members have a safe day if they have been caught out in this weather.

Just outside Liverpool; been snowing steadily for the last four hours. Not up to blizzard standards yet!

Yeah - work texted everyone to say they were open today (at 7:30) - made the 20 mile trip to work only to find that only 30 out of about 350 people had bothered, and they sent us home again........

... but it has its advantages --- just came across this story!   Grin Grin Grin

West Midlands Police say a dog's snowy paw prints led them on a mile-long journey to the home of two suspected metal thieves overnight, after a gas meter and pipework was stolen from the front of house in Coseley in Dudley. "The fact that we knew we were looking for the specific tracks of two people and a dog meant that the officers who quickly arrived at the scene were able to establish exactly which prints to follow," said Sgt James Jones.
