Hello all hope you are all well
We need your views on which detector you would go for if you had the choice of these 2
taking in consideration of depth, weight and overall performance.
Thanks for all the views and comment be it positive or negative

Dad is considering part xing is f2 and a old cs2mx for one of these machines.
I have mentioned that the weight of these machines is a lot more than the fisher he is using at moment.

The x terro range might be a better option but dont know how they rate to the 2 detectors mentioned above

thanks

The XS is the deeper and more versatile machine, especially if you intend doing any beach detecting. They are both heavyweights though and if this is a factor then the Xterra 50,70, 505 or 705 are options to be considered but these are of no real use on wet sand.
The beauty of him getting either of the ones you have suggested is that if buying any larger/smaller coils they could be shared by both of you.
Failing that then why not consider an XP GMP this has it's uses where the Etrac falls down i.e. ploughed and rolled, recovery which means you would be taking a more "belts and braces" approach.

It is an excellent machine and a joy to use, don't forget to check out any good deals on the older xterra 70 as they are identical machines in performance, the 705 has just had some short-cut buttons added and a spray job.
