I'm afraid I got to agree with Mike, if your going to work the beaches seriously it has to be a minelab, leave the Deus at home and take it out to the fields and enjoy the mighty power of the fairy stick,  Wink there is an update V4 for the Deus with a new VLF coil, coming end of year or beginning of next after testing , should be interesting, I've started saving up for sure. I heard there was a new coil and update coming but thought it was a rumour, is it certain?

hi I have an explorer se but find its too heavy now due to an elbow injury for any long term use, love the xp Deus, and have read I think on xp owners forum that nigel at regtons has been testing new upgrade.

Got to agree with Mike, since having REVERTED back to a Minelab "Sovereign GT" my beach finds had increased dramatically, OK,initially I found it a bit heavier but overcame that wit a good body harness from Kevin,Staffs metal detectors, can now comfortably detect four hours.
The GT is easy to set up,if you follow the settings guide!!
I know its not the latest in technology, but as a great all-rounder,its a great detector👍
