Where is it coming up overload? On field or are you trying it in the house/garden. Overload normally means you've gone over very big iron, I'm guessing maybe one og the pins are faulty where the coil plugs into.

Hi MB.
I work a DFX and like others have had the same fault. There are three things. That can cause this, firstly the male cable fixing on your control box could be damaged. Easy check is the pins are all ok, the other is by opening her up and checking the connections to the plug. You could have a loose cable or a dry joint, both which require resoldering. There is also a diode on this, which crosses your cables to prevent back feed (this causes overload) if knackered.
The last is your card!!!! You could release the card and check for damage or dry joints, but it would be more reliable to send it back to Whites, as they have all the test equipment for their units. Whites have a great service turn around, and the price for a new card is pretty reasonable.
Hope it's the connector buddy as the DFX is a top rate unit when working.
Hope it helps someway. If your sending back to Whites ask for Margaret she will get things sorted quickly for you.
