Hi everyone!

I'm living in Carmarthenshire and just wanted to say Hi to you all.

Is there anyone out there from around my parts? Looking to go on a hunt with someone.

All the best, HH, Andy

Hi buddy,

Cool! Blimey at last someone in Emlyn! Well, I had a Safari a couple of years back for a few months, only used it a hand full of times then sold it due to lack of use but I've just gone and brought an Etrac and dying to go out with it!....just need a pin pointer and a bloody spade now :)

Get over to cardigan bay opposite Cks for the short spade. Only about £6 . I'd recommend nokta pinpointer bloody great bit of kit for £79 . So you got transport and permissions or starting out ? I've gone through loads of machines ace 250 first , explorer se with 13 " ultimate fantastic bit of kit never sell her.  Also had whites surf master pi for beach, tried the nokta forse core, blisstool v3 now that's a deep bit of kit. The makro racer with 15" coil but hard to discrim iron and dig a lot. Are you using open screen on etrac ?

Hi bud, yeah, I was actually thinking of popping into C.B.Traders to see if they had any decent spades, think I will tomorrow! I've just totally started out buddy, no permissions (or transport for a while either) What do you mean about 'open' screen? I've used the Etrac once, yesterday afternoon in the garden...so I'm really wanting to get out and use it as it's just sitting here at the moment pal in it's new bag  :(

If you discrim then probs miss targets. Think there similar to the explorers. I run mine nearly an open screen in conductive mode so you get a grunt for iron and high tone for good targets . My silvers pot has increased with these settings.  :)

Cool, I see what you mean :)

Do you have many permissions round here? I haven't even started to ask anyone yet

Hate to correct you, I use my etrac (open) with very little discrimination (bottom right). And I use it in conductive audio.
If you are getting a low freq. (grunt) for iron or steel and a high freq. for copper, brass, silver gold you must be using Ferrous mode.
