Just to give Geoff a bit of competition I thought I'd show you this lot.
I've treated myself to a 9x5 Elliptical coil in an effort to isolate signals. It arrived today at lunch time and by the time I'd faffed around changing it and testing it in the garden I was a bit short of time to go anywhere. Anyway I headed for a beach I always have trouble with knowing the tide would be chasing me as soon as I got there.
Put it through it's paces on gravel, stones, wet sand and dry. Although I only found 1p I was so pleased with it. It was about 7in down and next to some iron. The separation is fantastic, so is the pin point and I found every target I dug, no matter how small. I am well pleased and look forward to finding something a little better than aluminium when the tides are right. Looking forward to trying it on some pasture when it's not pouring with rain.

Val

p.s. anyone got any idea what the rock in the middle is.

Nice going Val, by the look of those little bits of aluminium you should get the good stuff if it's there Wink
Now stop messing about on the beach and get in those fields Cheesy

Unfortunately Geoff there is more on the beach than in my present fields.
Need to get the Avon out and the smile and go do some creeping.

well done Val, keep at it at the beach, its a numbers game, dig as many targets as you can , even iffy sounding ones as the sand can play tricks sometimes....looking forward to seeing what luckies you find!xx
