car loaded and two coffee's later I'm off down the M4 to Ray's for a mornings detecting, another coffee at Ray's and off we go to one of Ray's local farms ... Still -7.5, I put on my thermal suit ( not a pretty sight ) but hey it made Ray laugh
and at least I was warm
So into the fist Field and first blood to Ray a George II half penny ( I think ) then a nice old button and two more coins,
Was my E-trac working) Back to the car for yet another coffee and a bite to eat.
Fed and watered into the second Field ....... Bingo my first coin of the day a 1922 penny, Then a lovely British rail button, the finds just kept comming 9 Pre decimal in total, Ray shouted me over to see a very nice buckle
Then the unmistakable sound of silver, A silver tea spoon in super condition.
A great morning's detecting had by all.
