Well I went back for another go in the hope that some rain may have livened things up and after finding the broken Roman brooch, I decided to concentrate (slowly) on the same area. My first problem was.................I forgot my wellies which meant my feet were soaked within 20 mins of getting there.
Within minutes I received a signal that turned out to be another broken brooch and again early I think? this was quickly followed by my first small bronze. Then on every other row I seemed to be getting another coin. So my total for 4 hours detecting was:-   2 parts of broken brooch's, 5 bronzes.....all of which are radiates and one small toggle thing?
Just downloading my photo-logger into Google earth, and it looks that they were basically in a line. I will be back out tomorrow.
