I'm still looking for this lost wedding ring, which I'm beginning to think is a figment of the womans imagination. The ground  at the bottom of this field is very quiet with hardly any signals and then at the top it is the extreme with nearly a blanket iron signal, I just hope it sorts itself out when we have some decent rain.

Still I did manage to find the tail of an early (1st/2ndC) Fantail Bow Brooch with a nice Iron age design and the catch plate still in tact,, the break is an old one and that is probably the reason for it's loss.

Also found a shaped handle, but to thin to be practicable as a spoon etc...so am wondering if this to could be of Roman origin, possibly from an ear scoop, but I'll probably never know for certain.

As youngest would say........"gross", strangely I found the brooch on the Polden hills which have a brooch type named after them, but this isn't it. Cheesy
