Went out with my father (Dave) for a few hours detecting this afternoon to a field 5 mins away from home as the sun was shining  Cool and had missed the club rally, we were only out for a couple of hours and did not stop digging targets!! my back is in half! A load of pennys ranging from Viccy to Lizzy, 2 silver 3D 1899 &1898, a George V shilling 1931 and lots of bits & bobs turned up. Smiley my father was the same with a finds bag full of pennys, a William III shilling with only the portrait side visible, 2 sixpences (George V 1928 & Viccy 1891) and he still had a grin from ear to ear  Grin so i asked " What you got then?" he put in my hand a Edward I? penny! no wonder he was so happy its the first hammerd he have found in over half a year.  Shocked we also found a piece of lead with a hart on the bottom, it looks like it was hammerd as a stamp into something as the end has some wear, i found an aluminium pendant " The Wizard Secret Circle" ?? anyone come across one of these? probably a kids thing. Also a piece of brass which reminds me of a pipe but not a clue what its purpose was  Huh anyway i caught the sun and had a good afternoon out Smiley   James & Dave  Wink

Think the badge was issued with the Wizard comic, 1940s I think - possibly issue 794?
