Just thought I would introduce myself I am Woodentop I live in Worcester I have been a detectorist since 1979 when I started using a Whites 6000D GEB, I gave up detecting in 1985 to do volunteer work with St.John Ambulance.

In 2011 I decided to start detecting again but the first rally I went on I looked like a cyberman having the Whites 6000D hipmount strapped to me. So I bought a Whites M6 from Mapplin Electronics.

I enjoy rallies and meeting other detectorists and am a member of Clodhoppermdc
I have managed to get detecting permission at Broadway Worcestershire   which has never had any metal detector users on it. So far I have found Victorian coins, George 111 coins and a Charles 11 farthing all in very fine condition.

I also have land to detect on at Powick near Worcester and also CastleMorton.

Hope to meet you all on a Rally. You will not miss me as I am very tall and have to use tall man's stem on my detector.
