spent the day on a site in monmouthshire today an old english civil war site that had many battles between 1642 and 1651 the place is known for loads of musket balls but i winkled out this old spur that has some lovely detailing and gold gilding still on it, the photos don't show much detail but under a glass it is very detailed, is there anyone that can date this and tell me if it is from the battle ground.

always nice to put some evidence on the table from past history , well done,,im tectin a civil war camp and battle site later this week where documents say that 300 lost there lives when camp was attacked it should be pretty easy to track as the site is also the village common and only 10 acres,, so I imagine the lead bucket may be filling up again Grin
