I have a fisher f4 with push fit coil connection bought nel coil it has screw fit connection do i send it back to regton or take detector apart and fit new connecter to control box regton and pepsi piros cant get coil with push fit  Angry Angry Angry Angry Angry Angry

Hi Charles as you probably know the push connector is made for the older F4 (and bounty hunter) the screw fit is on the F2 though they both work on the same frequency so the coil is fine. My advice would be to leave the on-board socket alone but change the plug at the end of the coil lead. The push ones are just 5? pin DIN plugs and are easily obtained from the likes of Maplin. If you have a store locally that you can get to then take the coil with you to ensure you get the right pin grouping. Wink

Well you have a point there Huh If you do decide to change the on-board socket I would also buy a new plug for your existing coil as if the Nel does fail for whatever reason then at least you will still be able to use the machine Wink
