Found this fragment yesterday on our local farm. It definitely 'looks' bronze to me, but the detail seems too good compared to my usual grots. I've tried Googling for a match, but to no avail. That's true Peter I just realised it wouldn't be THAT colour even if it was copper alloy after 2000 years. I have a Denarius of his which is low grade silver and has leached copper.
