Post by: falcon. on February 24, 2010, 06:02:25 PM Hi all, sandpiper and I went out today ;Don on a new field near a roman villa we found all sorts, lots of lead, some coins and a few interesting items ,big fields but only worked a small area, can anyone ID on thy pic's please ???

Used for measuring distances during map making. Chain on the floor with different pronged spaces every 24 foot I believe. I'll dig a photo out of the one I have somewhere
