Managed to get out Sat and Sunday  Grin,found a few nice bits,The Georgian fob seal has the sealing wax still in it,but after finding three of these now still no intaglio.Hammered no1 is a Charles 1st half groat.The other hammered ? is a broken half with no detail.

Hammered no2 is the worst i have ever found i'm fairly sure its a Tudor possibly a Lizy ?

Great finds those Simon, how unusual is that to find the wax still in there. The broken one looks suspiciously like a Mary groat to me. Great weekend for you well done!

Thanks for the replies,bit small for a groat Steve could be a half groat,The fob must have been an old one used to carry the wax and maybe they used a second fob seal to make the impression,would have meant they could use it anyware  Smiley
