Towards the end of the morning detecting session on rape stubble, this lovely coin came up ...... a great start to the new detecting season!

Thank you all for the kind comments .. it is much appreciated.

Just to say that i gave it to my youngest son as a birthday present today.  Needless to say his first reaction was " what is it!" ... followed by "is it gold?" .... then "are you sure" .. to which my reply was " rest assured if i had to pay for it, i would have kept it for myself!"
 
He's now one happy birthday boy!!!   Grin Grin Grin


now i've got to find something nice for the other one's birthday in 2 weeks time!  No pressure then!   Grin Grin Grin
