Just a few bits from the rally no hammereds for me,but had a great time anyway,Well done Rob and Geoff on another great rally. Grin
Anyone know what the badge is ?
Is the copper wire piece modern scrap or something older,i can remember seeing clothing fasteners quite similar just need to check if it's worth keeping ?

THE LOWER ITEM LOOKS LIKE IT COULD BE A" TIE OFF "FROM A RIGGING CABLE FROM A BIPLANE , IS THE CABLE FLEXIBLE OR RIGID ? IF RIGID , ITS A FENCE TIE OFF

Yeah your probaly right , but my father was a master carpenter, and i,m sure i've seen those arms in one of his old books , makes sense , set square , rule , and what looks like a door knob?,,,,, as for the other i was an aircraft engineer for 21 years , so there is the reason for that guess ( probably wrong though)

Wow i'm impressed Mike lol,very good idea on the badge thanks,as for the tie off i don't think its of a fence if thats what you meant ? it's very ridgid and made from copper alloy wire;would be nice if it was from a biplane,thanks a lot Mike. Smiley

I was allways told they were off umbrella's Benny,the bit at the top where the stays attach.
