Title: Re: lost etrac on slapton sands Post by: welsh john on March 31, 2014, 06:59:20 PM I went detecting with my mate and left my detector in the house once.
It took a long time for me to live that one down. :D :D Title: Re: lost etrac on slapton sands Post by: congerman on April 01, 2014, 11:19:27 AM There are some honest people around I once was carp fishing at my mates lake drove home and noticed I had left my rod holdall with all my rods + reels and alarms in it over A thousand pounds worth of stuff I went back x4 hrs later and my mates wife said A couple who were walking past with there dog found it and had taken it up to them so I hope he gets lucky like I did ;)
Title: Re: lost etrac on slapton sands Post by: Val Beechey on April 01, 2014, 11:33:56 AM Yes there are some honest people around and a couple of years back I was lucky enough to find one. I tried to withdraw £100 from the cash point at the Bank. The card came back out and I stood the waiting for the money, it seemed to take ages so I gave up and went into the Bank to get it sorted.
I joined the queue and a lady tapped my arm. She said 'I think you left this behind' and handed me the £100. How lucky is that. I did leave my new boots on the track behind the car one day and had to go back for them and another time I noticed on the last check before I closed the boot I'd left my detector in the house. Just proves we all do it. It only takes a few seconds when you're thinking about that hoard or the nice hot meal instead of what you're doing. There but for the grace of God. ;) Title: Re: lost etrac on slapton sands Post by: nobby on April 01, 2014, 11:51:03 AM My mother in law once left my misses when she was a baby outside the butchers in her pram......didn't realise until she got home :D

just an update on this mislaid etrac.... it has not been found or handed in and the person who lost it has now bought a minelab 3030 so hopefully he will be more careful with his " new toy " and the etrac will eventually surface somewhere and be returned to it`s rightful owner Title: Re: lost etrac on slapton sands Post by: Richie sixpence on April 09, 2014, 09:47:30 PM Lets hope so ;)
