Title: Still no ring but I found an Orange
Post by: Chef Geoff on August 22, 2010, 05:20:08 PM
Well William of Orange (III) to be precise, a sixpence dated 1696, Exeter mint. It's only the second I have ever found of his and ironically my first was also from Exeter. As you can see it's a bit worn but still a nice addition.

The soil is still so dry and the hight of the Stuble/grass is stopping any decent detection depth. The second pic is one of the cracks in the soil this one was 27" deep.
