Looks like its for the bowling green pub or even the actual bowling green both of which are next to Tescos upper car park.  Wouldn't even get u a pkt of crisps these days  Grin

Nice little find Al, can you do a clearer shot of the one side to see exactly what it says? there is a version in the BM

It could be the actual bowling green or a pub token for the pub attached, did you know that "The green, owned by Hereford Bowling Club, started just off Bewell Street in 1484"

I have to admit I still convert back sometimes, our tumble dryer packed up back in the winter so I took a load into laundrette in Wells it was 20p for 8 minutes and I couldn't believe I was actually spending 4 shillings a throw to dry socks lol Grin
