Title: 2 Roman brooches, a whorle and a rose farthing ?
Post by: Da Monkey on November 02, 2014, 09:08:18 PM
Only my 9th trip out this year  :o   Quite pleased though, as got a fibula, a trumpet brooch, a decorated spindle whorle & a coin within a few hours, any further info gratefully appreciated. Sorry the photos are poor, they look better in real life, but the light in the kitchen is cr*p tonight :(

The coin popped out less than a yard away from the fibula, but I think its probably a rose farthing...   Thought it had a crown and what looked like an arrow going through it when I cleaned it up, but the photos is cr*p, so good luck with that one for ID... although there are some clever people on here who may have a better clue than me...    ;)

Will see if I can get a better detailed photo in tomorrow's daylight...
