Popped out last night with searcher Steve we had the usual furniture fitting and fixings some coins then up popped this beaut...
Silver.. Vesta case lid maybe?

Writing says   'J Bennett
                      Wolfs dale.'

Yes  wolfsdale is near crundale I think a church and a couple of farms...
Was going t check t see if the Bennett farmed there... Still maybe.
I might find the other half lol very unlikely mind...but you never know...?

That's a cracker Mark well done Wink Yes I think your right about it being Wolfsdale as in Camrose  Church yard there's a gravestone which reads....

"Sacred to the memory of John Bennett late of Wolfsdale in this parish who departed this life
May 16th 1820 aged 82 years ; also of Ann, beloved wife of the above named J. Bennett, who
departed this life March 23rd 1856 aged 76"


Now I'm not saying it's the same J Bennett but it shows the family was there Wink
