Summer Competition 2009 . . . Win a Roman Silver Denari!

Neil:
Welcome to the Detectingwales.com Summer 2009 Competition!

As usual the rules are really simple. To enter all you have to do is either have made over 5 posts since DetectingWales.com was formed OR to have made 5 (sensible please) posts before 6pm on Sunday 26th July 2009!

To enter simply estimate how many joeys and four pences are in the pile shown - it really is that easy! Only one answer per member please!

The winner is the closest person to the correct answer. In case of a tie break you also need to estimate the oldest coin in the pile!

The winner will win a cracking Roman Silver Denari of Commodus kindly donated by Coleggwent, who is also known as Phil! Very kind of you Phil - you are a true gent. You may remember Commodus from the film Gladiator.

Lucius Aurelius Commodus Antoninus (31 August 161 – 31 December 192) was a Roman Emperor who ruled from 180 to 192 (also with his father, Marcus Aurelius, from 177 until 180).

If other members want to donate prizes for future competitions just let me know.

So its easy
1 - Guess the amount of coins.
2 - Guess the oldest date - in case of a tie.

Good Luck everyone.
