Peter flicking through one of my artifact books and thoght this looked very similar to one of my artifacts. I was told over a year ago it was half a scissors though.

If it is the same as the book (I cant explain the end terminal though) but the book recons its a middle bronze age Quoit headed pin fastner used to fasten clothing.

What do you recon ?

Sorry, O orange and hairy one, I believe it is a scissor handle, or possibly part of a candle-snuffer handle like this:

It is part of a candle holder. It is the "handle" fixed to the side of a dish that held the candle.
