Hi All

Been out to my fields at Wraxall this afternoon and pulled this from the ground?  Can anyone tell me who and what this pendant might be all about. I found it one field over from where I believe the Roman Villa was situated and would be so chuffed if this was Roman?Huh

It's a 17th to 18th century religious pendant. I can't make out what the inscription is supposed to be. The reverse is identical to this one on UKDFD:

Damn foiled again by the dastardly Doc Grin Yes I just found one similar and they suggest as they were produced in Rome that they may be items bought while on the "Grand Tour" and visiting Rome.

Guys, once again thank you very much. I thought I was clutching at straws thinking it was roman, caught up in the moment as I thought I could just make out the words "Roma". Arh well may not be Roman but still an interesting find to add to my collection of bits and pieces.  Smiley
