Hello all

I thought, as I've been on this site for about a month now, I would tell you a bit about myself, although some of you have already guessed who I am.

I'm (roman) Roland and I've been detecting properly about 3 years now, although I've been a collector for 20 years or so, mainly specialising in roman coins. I've recently becom a member of the Royal Numismatic Society for instance.

I currently own a Minelab Explorer II Pro, and a T2, although I'm using the T2 most as it is lighter and it seems to be easier to interpret the noises it makes.

My user name comes from 'Pro Bono Publico' - often used on the token coinage of the 18th century meaning 'for the public good' - in that I hope to both learn from others and to share what I know.

So, as long as no-one mentions half siliquas  Grin .......

Lol, welcome to the site Roland. I'm sure everyone appreciates your input into the site. We have a few members that know their onions in their relevant fields (pardon the pun) your help can only enhance what is already a fantastic forum.

Hope to see you on a Rally one day

Welcome on board Roland - I am sure your expertise will be very much in demand here.

Plenty of Roman coinage and artefacts are found by DW members, so its great to have another informed opinion on them.

Cheers
