Fantastic find but most of the "coinies" seem to be scratching their heads as to where they get the million figure from most tend to think it will sell for around the £10K mark, the book price for a fine example is $2500 (£1500) but that "EF" tag will no doubt bump the price up quite a bit ;)

What I'm struggling to understand is that if they minted them over there, how come there's not more been found in the state they were minted in at least, I mean, did they only have a total of say 12p in the entire coffers or something ?    ;D ;D

I don't think the coin itself is that rare just it's condition, yes compared to old world coins of the time they were few but not only were English coins accepted as currency there were only around 25,000 people in New England at the time.
