mornin peeps i just got in from doing another beach at low tide and i am surprised at what i have got again,i love the beaches they are wild when the time is right wow .this time i got an 1841 viccy bunhead farthing,1837 viccy bunhed half penny,1920 george 5th penny,1927 george 5th half penny,2p ,an 18 ct gold ring with amethyst stones in i think and an old looking ring with a stone in.will post piccies when i wake up and have a few coffees.i am know on a mission to work every low tide until next thursday and hit a target of 10 gold rings ,maybe get the mortgage payed for a month.good start i have had 3 rings in last 2 tides.weehee mad as an egg. :o

any ideas on that old ring peeps ,it seems a bit primative the way it clasps the stone.there is a hallmark but its too worn to make out.you can make out either a number 12 or 13 but thats it. :)

Beaches were very popular in Victorian times.  Looking forward to going to Oxwich tomorrow - weather permitting    ::)

Mrs Badger - Mike is doing his best and I wish you both all the luck in the world.  I do hope that he comes home with more goodies for you both and that you both see better times in the future. 

I like seeing gold come up too,  it's a great feeling as it's as good as the day it was lost well usually anyway.   

I suppose after so many years in this hobby that I've become complacent and love to hear of the younger enthusiasts success.

I took dogs to beach this morning to see what it's like. It's a good job I'm not a brass monkey. Anyone who spends as much time swinging as Mike does deserves to find the goodies.

just got in after my 3rd trip to the beach.not so lucky this time with the gold rings but got some silver and there were 8 of us detecting so hey ho.this time out got a viccy half penny 1888,george 5th sixpence 1933,george 5th 3 pence 1932,14p,a st christopher pendant and a ring that i think is brass and not sure if its a earing.nevermind.back out tonight weehee for the fourth tide in a row so off to bed now lol :)

Your a confirmed beach detectorist, wild and free- a trip to the beach is like being on holiday. ;D
 I wish I had half your energy  ;) but be careful when your out alone especially in the dark because there will be no one around to help you if anything happens- I almost knocked myself out once with my own  shovel :o  - the beach doesn't take prisoners - keep your phone  very handy- I think you should change your name to dancing with dolphins  ;D

I went down to the beach today, if you lasted more than an hour or so your a better man than me. When your hands turn blue its a sign to go home I think.

i dont know about being a better man than you but i am determined to use the conditions to my advantage.lasted 3 hrs today and i was so tired that i forgot my gloves this morning lol just had to grin and bear it. i must have been to beaches about 30 times before started understanding how the sands shift and whats the best time to go detecting.learning a bit more everytime i go out.one day i might know what i'm doing lol.getting better though :)

Wowee beat me to them then.   ;DWell done.  I havent been out lately but an venturing out tomorrow and sunday dont care what the weather is like. Hope to find something, if not I'll pack it in! :-\

going back for outing number 4 today to find the precious .good job i did'nt go last night i was too tired and the weather was terrible.i keep forgetting i'm 44 and not 18.averaging 1 a day though,not bad :)
