 Huh

The idea of a "Tudor era" in history is a misleading invention, claims an Oxford University historian. Cliff Davies says his research shows the term "Tudor" was barely ever used during the time of Tudor monarchs. There are also suggestions the name was downplayed by Tudor royals because of its associations with Wales....

Well that would be interesting if it wasn't so bleeding obvious Roll Eyes It never ceases to amaze me the way's that academics will try and draw attention to themselves. I think Cliff should be nominated for the Nobel prize for the most pointless research.
And I think I can save him some time in the future in that None of the "lithic" ages nor metal or Roman, Saxon, Norman, Angevin, Plantagenet etc. etc. Ever referred to themselves in that way..................................Ages and Times and named in hindsight.
