Thanks Al, I think the Roman is a Folis and the reverse is a figure standing but to corroded to be certain.
the "duck" has diagonal lines down the body , maybe feathers ?

My finds from Sunday,
I think the bird shaped find is a mount of some sort as there is iron in the recess of the base under the head, any ideas ?
Coin may be a folis of Faustina Jr
Thank you Ian

That's a strange one Ian and bigger than I thought? I can't say I'm convinced on it representing a bird either as the "feather" markings are going the wrong way?
The coin is probably an As, about 150 years to early for a folis.

Thanks Geoff,
I thought the "feather lines" could be that they represent folded wings and they would face forward,
Also many thanks for the info on the coin, (not at all sure on my Romans yet !)

Bottom coin seems to be an As of Faustina II - I think with 'VENUS' reverse.

The hammered is Edward I/II - can't tell the mint because all you can see is 'CIVI TAS' - so at least you know it is a 'city'
