found today any ideas guys , its very dark in colour unlike the other grots i find on this farm

Septimius Severus looks like a possibility, but probably a fourrée (ie plated fake) denarius. Still interesting though - it would be contemporary with the genuine coin.

 what helps you to determine that please is it the quality or just a gut feeling i am having difficulty trying to work out which coins are in bad condition because of the soil conditions ect or just copies thanks for any explanation

Just because it looks so battered around the edge and there appear to be chips with greenish copper alloy showing through.
