Have been having problems keeping the ground balance on my DFX from time to time. Adjusted sensitivity and everything else but it throws out on all ground sites.
The unit has been sent for overhaul in the spring with a new card and screen.
Looking at the NEL hunter at the moment but any advice would be great.

DFX is not my main machine, but I've used one for years. I've not tried a NEL yet, but understand that they are quite heavy. Got hold of an Ultimate and tried for first time in anger at the last DW rally, must say I was very impressed, nice and light, got a whopping signal on a 1936 sixpence at a good 12" depth in pature, so I'm happy Smiley

If you are at the SantaHats and want to try it for a few hours let me know.

Are you looking at an eliptical for the separation ?   As I see you have the 300 concentric.

Thanks Andy,
Second person to state that. I wont be on the Santa hat rally buddy, away for a few days, ( bloody mickey mouse)  Cry
Decided to settle for an eclipse deepscan DD "V tech" 1400 from whites, as I intend up grading to a VX in the new year so it would be a spare coil in my arsenal.
Thanks again and hope to see you in the new year
