Title: Is this a sword/dagger pommel? Post by: Meatslicer on July 28, 2010, 01:20:29 PM This is the bronze thingy with a mould I made of the inside of it. Found in stubble near a possible roman site.

Dont know, did swagger sticks have tangs? The part thats left of the "handle" section looks like it is two parts that run along the length of it, held together by the ring at the end. Looking down the hollow bit, it is diamond shaped inside. all of it is bronze and very battered. I have been checking the PAS database and there is a sword pommel similar in shape but the handle part is made of steel and leather, rather than bronze. Ah well, another thing for mark to marvel at.
