A while ago I remember there was a discussion about digging iron signals.  I thought I would be brave and run my Deus in all metal mode and dig every signal just to see what came out.  Well after 2 hours I had had enough - I could not believe how much iron was in a 100 yard stretch of field.  There were 19 horseshoes (or bits of horseshoes) and other more modern stuff.  I stopped digging the weaker signals after half an hour as there were so many!  Still, it wasn't entirely unproductive as I found a nice Lizzy hammered, a William and Mary farthing and a Cartwheel penny.  However, I don't think I'll bother with 'all metal' mode again unless there's a very good reason too.....

Well done for trying Dylan Wink you never know, running your machine in all metal mode may have helped you find your William and Mary farthing? as the extra depth and sensitivity would of been a help Smiley

It's really worth running in all-metal mode when you've stopped getting any other type of signal - and you might find something worth digging up, right next to an old horseshoe!
