Wow, amazing that the bottle survived that long. Fantastic story.
When living on a remote island on the Danish west coast (nature reserve warden) I found two bottles with letters in them. In both cases it was from school children. One from Holland and one from Denmark. Not very old but it was still quite a special feeling finding something like that. And since then I just can't help looking for  bottles when out on the beach. You never know......
