Hi Kev, it's definitely cleaner, but the picture size is now tiny. I wanted to blow it up a bit to see if I could get a bit more detail on the letters that are not clear. Can you post on here or email me bigger pictures?

Also, what is the size in millimeters?

It's definitely Tudor period, but for some reason I can't match the letters I can see with any actual coin.

Phil - I think you're bang-on. It was the RAZ that was confusing me and I need to go back to school because I failed to realise the 1st issue of Lizzie had Z instead of ET Embarrassed

The 1st issue is the scarcest issue of Elizabeth I (eg out of 484 Lizzie coins on UKDFD there are only eight, two each of the shilling, groat, halfgroat and penny), so a shame it's so poor.

But the latest pictures are great Kev Smiley
